khimchngart

My name is Khim Ch'ng, an Australian Artist based in Sydney.

I am a self taught artist and won several state "on the spot" painting competitions in Penang, Malaysia and prizes in the Shankar's International Art Competitions from India in my primary school years.

In my high school years, I was introduced to Impressionism and was captivated by the colours and textures used by artists in that period.

Career and family took priority until my retirement in late 2024.

A late bloomer finally taking the plunge to realise a childhood dream.

From November 2025, I started painting again landscapes inspired by the joy, peace, thanksgiving and colour from the great Australian outdoors and destinations travelled to.

I am delighted that I now have the opportunity to share my art with you.
